Questions we get asked

What does kiln-dried mean?

Kiln-dried logs are dried in a kiln to a controlled moisture level, so they light easily and burn cleanly. The maximum moisture content is shown in the specification of each product.

Which crate size do I need?

It depends on your stove, your home and how often you burn. The smaller crate suits occasional fires, the middle size suits regular use, and the largest is for stocking up for winter. If you're unsure, ask us.

What is the difference between stacked and loose volume?

Stacked volume is the space the logs take up when neatly stacked. Loose volume is the space they take up tipped out, which is always bigger. We show both so you can compare crate sizes fairly, whoever you buy from.

How should I store my fuel?

Keep it off the ground and under cover, with air able to move around it. A shed, a log store or a covered stack all work. Keep bagged fuel indoors or well covered, and away from damp.

How does delivery work?

Enter your postcode and we show the delivery cost, the date and who delivers before you add anything to your cart. Crates and pallets are unloaded with a tail-lift or pallet truck, so the delivery point needs level, hard standing — no grass, gravel, steps or kerbs. Tell us at checkout if access is tricky.
